Pound Cake
1 lb. margarine
1 lb. powdered sugar
6 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp vanilla
Beat margarine until fluffy.
Add powdered sugar in 3 or 4 additions.
Add vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add flour in 3 or 4 portions.
Make in 2 greased loaf pans for 1 hour.
May take 10 minutes longer.
Test cake to be sure.
NOTE: There was not temperature on the original recipe but 2 out of 3 internet recipes for pound cake said 325 so that's what I used and it worked well.
