Printable Meaty Chili

Meaty Chili

2 lbs. coarsely ground round steak
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. cumin
1 1/2 c. canned whole tomatoes, drained
2-5 dashes hot pepper sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 c. hot water

Saute meat, onion and garlic in large, heavy frying pan or Dutch oven.
Add chili powder, oregano, cumin, tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, salt, pepper, and water.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat, and simmer about 1 hour.
Skim off fat during cooking.

Makes 12 servings.
