Joan's Roll Recipe

Makes 2 dozen

3 1/2 c. flour
1 pkg. yeast (2 1/4 tsp.)
1 1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. crisco
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Combine 1 1/2 c. flour and yeast.  Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt till warm.  Add to dry mixture.  Add egg.  Beat on high for 3 mins.  Add remaining flour by hand (use spoon).  Shape into ball (if sticky, add flour).  Place in lightly greased bowl.  Turn once, cover with Saran Wrap. Refrigerate 2 hrs - 4 days.  1 1/2 hours before, make rolls and let risse.  Bake at 400 10 mins. in greased tins.
